How We Got Here

Hi, I'm James.

 

I've been building websites for more than 20 years, long before drag-and-drop builders became the norm. Over the years, I've worked with just about every platform imaginable, from hand-coding websites in Notepad to building on WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, and Wix Studio.

Along the way, I also spent more than 15 years working in and around the apparel industry, helping build and manage websites, eCommerce stores, marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, and digital experiences for growing brands. That experience taught me how important branding, customer experience, and storytelling are to a business's success online.

But no matter what industry I was working in, I kept finding myself helping breweries, taprooms, bars, and hospitality brands with their websites.

What started as a few projects quickly became a pattern. I loved the creativity, community, and personality that came with hospitality businesses. Unlike many industries, every taproom has its own story, atmosphere, and loyal customer base. The challenge wasn't just building a website, it was creating a digital experience that reflected what made that place special.

That experience ultimately led to the creation of Taproom Supply Co. I believe pricing should be transparent. Throughout my career, I've seen business owners spend thousands of dollars on websites that were difficult to update, dependent on expensive third-party tools, or built on platforms that required ongoing developer support for even the simplest changes. I've also seen businesses overcharged for features that should have been straightforward and accessible.

While I work with businesses across many industries, Taproom Supply Co. was built with hospitality in mind. Taprooms, breweries, bars, bottle shops, and hospitality brands often need more than just a website. My goal is to create that one-stop shop. By leveraging the power of Wix Studio and its integrated ecosystem, I can build websites, digital menus, tap systems, client portals, event calendars, and other hospitality-focused tools without requiring businesses to juggle multiple subscriptions and disconnected services. The result is a cleaner, more manageable experience that saves time, reduces costs, and keeps everything under one roof.
